Before my sophomore year of college, I was feeling ballsy and decided to switch my major from Chemical Engineering to Movement Science on the pre-Physical Therapy track. After struggling to find a career path I would enjoy in Chemical Engineering, I realized that Physical Therapy was the path for me because I could help patients on their journey to recovery. It was a perfect way for me to combine my passion for dancing, exercising, and stretching with my knowledge in academic courses I enjoyed such as biomechanics, physiology, anatomy, etc.
In Fall of 2020, I began working at Novi Doctors of Physical Therapy (NDPT) as a clinical aide. That same semester I decided to go through the recruitment process for Delta Epsilon Mu (DEM), a professional fraternity at the University of Michigan for pre-health students. NDPT and DEM are two of the organizations that give me courage and confidence as a prospective PT student, and give me a community of healthcare professionals to connect with.
In February 2022, I joined the Rehbilitation Biomechanics Lab team at Michigan for a few hours each week. Check out my research lab, my PT clinic, and DEM below!
