The INstitute of Dancers

Season 5 Member (2021-present)

In May 2021, I auditioned for Season 5 of The INstitute of Dancers, a training program specifically for commercial dance. I signed a contract to dance with the INstitute from September-May, training under Emmy Award Nominee Glenn Douglas Packard. The program includes:

- learning from guest choreographers each month

- videoshoots

- photoshoots

- acting classes

- networking opportunities

- preparation for the professional dance industry

- music video opportunities

RELEASE Performance Team

Professional Dancer (2021)

In March 2021, I auditioned for the RELEASE Detroit Performance Team. The team consisted of professional dancers ages 18+ from the local Detroit area, and we performed in the Showcase in July 2021. I performed in 3 pieces: Going Down (above), One Time, and Black & Gold. You can watch the entire show on my dad's Youtube, linked above!

RELEASE Detroit has been a huge part of my dance journey and growth. RELEASE introduced me to a community of choreographers and network of dancers with similar goals and attitude as me. RELEASE also reminded me that dance is a canvas for my feelings and a way to channel my physical, mental, and spiritual energy.
