Delta Epsilon Mu
Delta Epsilon Mu is a professional pre-health co-ed fraternity. I joined the Alpha Iota Chapter at the University of Michigan during fall 2020, and became an active member of the Theta Class. Active members of DEM attend Chapter meetings every other week, and have access to volunteering and shadowing opportunities as well as connecting with alumni to engage in professional development. My favorite thing about DEM is that my DEM family consists of students of all pre-health tracks- Dentistry, Medicine, Physical Therapy, Public Health, PA, Research, and more!
During Spring of 2021, I was elected Philanthropy Chair and Apparel Chair. As Philanthropy Chair, I coordinated fundraising and volunteering events with our local philanthropy, North Star Reach. My favorite event to help plan was the North Star Reach 5k, where our group attended the first annual 5k run at NSR. Apparel Chair was also a fun leadership position because I got to design apparel that members wear all over campus.
In December 2021, I was elected as Historian, a leadership role within DEM Executive Board that oversees all social media platforms, as well as the Philanthropy and Apparel Chairs (my previous positions)! I love managing the DEM social media and designing content for recruitment and social outreach. Keeping social media accounts active is a huge part of DEM's presence on campus and helps everyone feel more connected and prideful about their organization.
